> 3 dayThe title really says it all... solid umbrella especially for the price. Only issue is that its really not overly compact (I cant fit this umbrella in my bag which I tote along with me to work... kind of a bummer). The trade-off, however, is that the actual umbrella is quite large and offers good coverage from the elements. Its compact ENOUGH to where I can manage. When open, the handle jiggles a little bit (not a super solid fit at the point where the handle is affixed to the pole - not a big issue though). Ive not tried this product in a super windy situation yet. We shall see how it holds up. Based on my experience thus far, Id be more inclinded to give this a 3.5 star rating.

> 3 dayAfter my son and I got caught in a really heavy rainstorm that blew my previous umbrella inside out and broke it, I wanted an umbrella that would be compact, easy to carry, and would be able to cover both me and my baby when I carry him. This umbrella is huge and stores fairly easy for its size. It seems very sturdy and I like the blue color. Now I find myself wishing for rain so that I get to use it!

> 3 dayUsed this umbrella for the first time yesterday and one of the tiny brass rivets holding the upper and lower metal support pieces together broke, leaving a section of the nylon segments sagging a bit. Fixed it by aligning the metal pieces and inserting a small section of paper clip, twisting and trimming to lock it in place. Also, the handle of the umbrella is fairly short so if you have longer arms you will have them bent at all times when using the umbrella or the inner supports will be bouncing off your head. Otherwise, seems like it will work fine - it held up well on a fairly windy day even with a broken support.

> 3 dayThis umbrella is awesome! It is very large & sturdy and vented. Its got a comfortable handle and it just fits in my backpack. Havent tried it against major winds yet, but when I do, I will update this review concerning its performance. Update: Almost a year later & still love this umbrella! Have had no issues with it on windy days. Great purchase!

> 3 dayThis is the second totes golf umbrella Ive purchased. I had the previous one for 2 years but I lost it on the train. It was such a sturdy, reliable, big, and compact umbrella I knew I had to get the same one to replace it. Fantastic!

> 3 dayIf you hate getting wet and need a huge umbrella, this is your umbrella. Covers myself and my gigantic book bag walking to, and between classes. Its vented so it wont get away from you if a large wind comes up. Ive never had an issue with it. If you dont mind carrying a really large umbrella then check this one out.

> 3 dayvery good i dont get wet at all even when im sharing it with someone, just you make sure you notice this is a product for 2 people, not for self use, otherwise youll look like a douche hogging up all the space on the sidewalk carrying this umbrella around

> 3 dayThe umbrella comes off as a little big; I feel a little bit out of place when I open up my umbrella in the streets of Seattle and my umbrella could probably fit two or three rain-ridden folks, while other folks umbrellas are smaller, which sometimes makes me feel like Im overcompensating for my small car. When closed, the umbrella would definitely not fit in a small-to-medium-size purse, but it could partially fit in a backpack, a satchel, or other carries. In any case, I really like the blue colour. The handle is a bit on the heavier side; if it storms with much wind, a weak hand may not be able to hang on the heavy frame. But if it storms with much wind, you should not really be walking outside anyway. Unless you are in New York City, in which case you probably already own an umbrella or two.

> 3 dayThis is a very large and heavy umbrella. Even if you have a large bookbag, it might possibly not fit inside (youll have the handle part protruding out). I bought this umbrella because I know Totes brand is known for their quality umbrellas. I also wanted a rather large umbrella (when opened). Unfortunately, it is a bit too big in its compact size. The umbrella is also very heavy so its hard to hold up and walk around-- extremely tiring. Though I must say, in times of extreme wind, my umbrella has not flipped over. I accidently left the umbrella closed and wet... And it rusted, so there goes that :(
