> 3 dayIve actually purchased this twice because my first one was borrowed forever by my sister. This is a solid umbrella that when collapsed is just about 20.5 long. When opened the canopy is large and has a great handle with good grip. Here in NYC lots of people buy the cheap $5 street umbrellas but those things will disintegrate in a large gust or a collision. Dont lose or let people borrow this and itll last you longer and keep you dryer.

> 3 dayIt was with a heavy heart that I ordered an umbrella. After 5 years in the Southern California area, it seemed like a surrender. However, this one is pretty solid. Good gusts of wind still give it problems - but its plenty big enough to keep you and your bag dry, which is really the point. I wonder if there is a better umbrella out there as it pertains to wind resistance, but this one is fairly stable.

> 3 dayI really like the oversized hugeness of this golf-sized umbrella. The telescoping handle makes it compact enough to fit into my shoulderbag. After about two years of use, some of the thin thread holdfasts on the outer shade broke, which just meant that the material billowed out a bit over the handle when collapsed--not a huge deal. A pin in one of the arms also came out, so that arm didnt quite extend all the way. I fixed that with a paperclip. Finally, after three-and-a-half years, the button & spring mechanism wore out and the handle will no longer reliably stay on the collapsed position. I just wrapped it up with a velcro tie to keep it closed, put it in the trunk of the car for emergencies, and bought a new one for me!

> 3 dayThe best way to test an umbrella is during hurricane season in South Florida. Best umbrella thus far. To bad someone stole it. Pros - Stands up wind gust - great coverage for two people - compact to fit in a fairly large back pack (this is not a purse friendly umbrella) - handles well in a heavy down pour - has a great opening mechanism and a breeze to close - comes with a cover that has netted vent - the handle also has an elastic band to wrap around your wrist - heavy enough to use a decent brunt object just i case your have to defend yourself :) Cons: - its not really a compact umbrella. Like i said ladies, its not purse friendly. This is must for a Floridian. Keep a close eye on it though... Someone WILL steal it.

> 3 dayI love this umbrella. Ive had it a few months and it has withstood some nasty downpours. I live in New York City, and this umbrella is sized just right: big enough to keep me dry, but not so big that Im one of those people who hog the whole sidewalk with my massive umbrella. It handles wind well, too. I only have two criticisms, neither of which is enough to knock a star off: 1. When folded up, its just a little too big to fit in my backpack, which would be nice. 2. Sometimes, when walking, the flap on top will make a rhythmic thump-thump with each step I take Other than that, its perfect for me.

> 3 dayVery sturdy, a really good size, and looks nice. I do wish the handle was a little more comfortable, but that seems the Achilles heel of all umbrellas. The size on this is plenty big to cover me and my bag even in good solid downpours, but not terribly obnoxious like some golf umbrellas. Id rate this smaller than the massive golf umbrellas people use out on the course, but a good bit larger than a regular umbrella.

> 3 dayThis is the best umbrella! Big, sturdy, doesnt flip inside out in the wind, easy to open and close, and has a comfortable handle. Its a bit heavier, so it can be tiring if youre carrying a lot and trying to hold the umbrella as well, or lugging it around with you after the rain stops. It is also pretty long when closed - doesnt fit in my backpack or most purses. Still my favorite umbrella.

> 3 dayI live in Chicago where it gets a bit windy. The umbrella will flip inside out if caught in some wind, but its overall a decent product and I would buy again. I did like the handle, good grip and easy to hold for long periods of time.

> 3 dayWhile functional as an umbrella, the darn thing wont stay closed, the handle just keeps popping open due to the latch just not latching well. Makes it useless as a collapsable umbrella, though as a full sized umbrella its pretty ok.

Greater than one weekI recently took this on a trip and was worried that it might be too big and clumsy. Although it is bigger that the usual fold up umbrella, it is easy to open with just a push button and not at all bulky or cumbersome. It is certainly big enough to be sure you are completely covered and protected. I love the bright color too.
