Bought this one hoping itll last for a long time, slightly disappointed. Pros: Big. Comes with a carrying sleeve. Compact (Tripple fold style). Strong metal construction. Cons: The connection between the frame and the cloth couldve been better. This is the part where it broke down for me. Yes, I could even fix it by sewing it back myself but, if I could sew it and make it stronger, why cant the manucator do a better job? It is very heart breaking to see something couldve been a perfect product not perfect because of something small. Bottom line: Good product that needs minor fix.

Quality construction, sturdy and does pretty good in reasonable wind (read less than 20mph, I havent had the pleasure of using it in higher wind). I would gladdly buy it again if I managed to lose it. The size is large enough that two people can easily use it at the same time. The automatic opening action, a feature that I didnt think that I needed is actually pretty darn handy when your other hand is occupied with coffee or a bag, etc. Edit 7/8/2015: So the rivets have started to fail at the edge of the umbrella. This does not render the umbrella useless, however there is a noticeable droop on two of the edges. Im still fairly happy with the umbrella, but this does take away from its ability to last. My rating has changed from 5 stars to 3. Two years old shouldnt be failing this quickly. (I always leave it open to dry after use.) Edit 10/2/2015: No longer impressed. Too much money spent on an umbrella that failed after two years of light use. I can No longer recommend this umbrella.

This is the best umbrella Ive owned. It has the perfect size to keep me dry. The vent up top prevents it from being a slave to windy conditions. It pops open as easily as the day I bought it, and I am approaching two years with this guy. The only wear is a small amount of rust on one of the joints, but it hardly noticeable. I keep one in my car at all times.

Somewhat heavier and bigger than expected, but it keeps the rain out and I dont feel like its going to invert in a heavy rain.

I really like the oversized hugeness of this golf-sized umbrella. The telescoping handle makes it compact enough to fit into my shoulderbag. After about two years of use, some of the thin thread holdfasts on the outer shade broke, which just meant that the material billowed out a bit over the handle when collapsed--not a huge deal. A pin in one of the arms also came out, so that arm didnt quite extend all the way. I fixed that with a paperclip. Finally, after three-and-a-half years, the button & spring mechanism wore out and the handle will no longer reliably stay on the collapsed position. I just wrapped it up with a velcro tie to keep it closed, put it in the trunk of the car for emergencies, and bought a new one for me!

Used this umbrella for the first time yesterday and one of the tiny brass rivets holding the upper and lower metal support pieces together broke, leaving a section of the nylon segments sagging a bit. Fixed it by aligning the metal pieces and inserting a small section of paper clip, twisting and trimming to lock it in place. Also, the handle of the umbrella is fairly short so if you have longer arms you will have them bent at all times when using the umbrella or the inner supports will be bouncing off your head. Otherwise, seems like it will work fine - it held up well on a fairly windy day even with a broken support.

Just the umbrella I wanted. As others have stated, this umbrella is a tad bit heavier than the other ones out on the market however it also feels sturdier and not as flimsy due to the weight. Its definitely not one of those umbrellas you want to carry in a bag but more of one that you would use to pick up people (since it is a golf sized) and maybe leave in the car for when you do your groceries and such. If you want to carry it in your backpack, youll have to strap it to the side or expect it to poke out the top since its quite long. Other than that, its the umbrella I exactly wanted and if I had one bad thing about it is that it is not auto-close which makes me use both hands in order to close it. (The horror~~)

Had my first set stolen from me. Had to reorder two more. Great customer service from Amazon. The umbrellas themselves are amazing. I had the same exact umbrella for over 10 years. I left it behind and it was gone. Im very happy with the newer models. They feel just as good as my old one. They havent changed on quality. The secondary flap is extremely useful for those very windy days. Im a big guy. 64 290 lbs and Im able to stay dry under this. It opens to a great size. But still fits inside my backpack.

Im use to umbrellas with a large canopy and this one fits the bill. I havent had to experience strong winds just yet, but it has held up to heavy rain. The umbrella is a tad heavy, but I think it is because of the material used to construct it. Either way its all stars from me!

This thing is massive. I didnt quite understand how big it was... another reviewer complained that it wasnt big enough for him so I thought It wouldnt be one of those massive umbrellas you see sometimes... but it is. I dont quite get what he was after because this umbrella is so large Im a bit embarrassed walking in a busy street with it.
